Congratulations to Ann!

The SRRC's Ann Gaffigan put on a valiant performance in the steeplechase during the U.S. Track and Field Trials.
On a night which "the women's steeplechase enjoyed its finest night ever on American soil" Ann finished 10th in what was an American record performance of 9:27.59 by winner Ann Willard. Lindsey Anderson and Jenny Berringer finshed second and third to round out the first-ever U.S. women's Olympic steeplechase team.
The SRRC had a crowd crowd (above) of Ann supporters at Sammy's Sports Bar to watch the finals on Thursday night.
Channel 20 had live coverage from Sammy's during the 10pm news and Channel 17 also covered the party at Sammy's.

Well worth the read. If you like, send her a comment at the end of the article. I did and she responded back. Very cool!
