Hit the Hills for Tuesday's workout!

We are back at Washington Park on Tuesday evening (2/19). We'll meet at the tennis court parking lot at 5:30 pm.

The plan for Tuesday is to get some hill work by incorporating one of our inclines on the actual LM route.

For a warm up, turn right out of the tennis court parking lot and down the big hill. Turn right around the lower pond and follow the road around to the foot of the hill at Lincoln Avenue. This is part of the LM course (actually the whole part from the top of the big hill and onto Lincoln is on the course).

We'll take a quick rest to let everyone gather back up, then we will run at a good speed to the top of the Lincoln Avenue hill (just past Fayette), turn around and jog/walk back the bottom and over to the short, steep hill in the park (by the old sled hill). Hit is hard to the top of that hill and jog back to the bottom.

At the bottom, take a rest of at least a couple minutes then do it again. We will do this for a total of three times (or four if everyone is really feeling up to it).

For our cool down (lol) we'll do the loop back to the tennis courts via MacArthur.

So are we doing the hill on Lincoln Ave once and then jogging over to the short/steep hill (old sled hill) and then run up it 3 or 4 times? Or are we going back -n- forth between hill on Lincoln and then the short/steep hill and repeating this 3-4 times?

Hi all you strong halfwits! Andrew & I are moving on Saturday and Sunday & were wondering if anyone is free that could help us. We don't have that much stuff and need some strong people to help w/ the washer, dryer, bed, and futon mostly. We'll need some bodies to help w/ the boxes as well. The plan is we will get the van around 3pm on Sat. We'll move all the stuff into the van on Sat and on Sunday afternoon we'll move into the new place (which is down a few miles from our current apt.). So, you have a choice to come one day or both days.

Sorry...sometimes it seems good in my head but it does not always come out the same in print!

Up the Lincoln Avenue hill, turn around and jog to bottom, then up the other smaller, shorter hill in the park, turn around and jog to bottom. Rest for a couple minutes, then start the same thing again. We'll do both hills 3-4 times each.

Make sense?

Thanks for the clarification on the hill workout. It makes sense. Really appreciate you posting workouts on the blog as I do them on my own Tu/Th mornings before work. If anyone else can't make the workouts in the evening and would like to join me in the mornings, then let me know.

The Thursday route is usually 4-5 miles so let's meet at the "Y" and be ready to head out the door by 6:45 am. We will run to and thru Washington Park and return. We can touch base today too see if that time is ok for you.
