Route for Sat. 2/16...it's a new one so study the map!!

UPDATE: slight change for Saturday's route! Thanks to Half Wit Charlie Rabins for this suggestion, as it will alleviate concerns of running on the narrow portion of Iles west of Koke Mill.

The revised route will have us turn left (south) on Koke Mill from Iles. Then turn right (west) on Ginger Creek and left (south) on Meadowbrook, then on with the rest of the route.

I'm trying to make sure we don't get bored with our routes, so I have come up with a different route for our nine-miler on Saturday. The first half of the route should be familiar...it is the reverse of what we ran last week, but then we head into some new territory, especially west of Koke Mill on the way back to Panera.

So...please study the new map so you know where you are going. Feel free to print out the turn by turn directions! We will have hydration at the Wabash Trail east-end parking lot, at the entrance to the Schnucks parking lot, and at Iles/Meadowbrook near the entrance to the K of C.

And please watch for traffic, especially on Iles east of Chatham Road and west of Koke Mill. The road is kind of tight in those spots!

TOO funny!! I just looked at the WHOLE route. Not only are you running right past my house, you are running past my MOM's house also. I will be out running too or I would be cheering you on.

Hey Kris:

Can we put a hydration stop in front of your house? Seriously.

Or maybe you could have a big jug of hot chocolate? LOL!

YES! I don't know about the Hot Chocolate!! Maybe I should fire up my easy bake and make you all cookies! A water stop would be fine.

Hi all you strong halfwits! Andrew & I are moving on Saturday and Sunday & were wondering if anyone is free that could help us. We don't have that much stuff and need some strong people to help w/ the washer, dryer, bed, and futon mostly. We'll need some bodies to help w/ the boxes as well. The plan is we will get the van around 3pm on Sat. We'll move all the stuff into the van on Sat and on Sunday afternoon we'll move into the new place (which is down a few miles from our current apt.). So, you have a choice to come one day or both days.

If anyone is interested please email me at joyguardia@yahoo.com by Wednesday.
Thanks so much!!

Yesterday's run was my first 9-miler, and it went surprisingly well! I liked the route, and I greatly appreciated the hydration stops. Thank you, Tim!

Also, a great big THANK YOU to the random person in the green mini-van who drove past and shouted encouraging words to me just when I needed them most. Perfect timing!

A happy new HalfWit,
Kim Bradley
