This weekend and next...

I'm planning (and I think Barry is as well) to take a short hiatus from organizing any Saturday runs until the Half Wits program begins on Saturday, February 2. So...everyone is on their own for a couple weeks...plus this Saturday is going to be brutal.

I will try to update the blog this weekend with detailed information about the 2008 Half Wits plan, so keep checking back.

In the mean time, if you absolutely want to run with the group, feel free to comment below and organize the runs on your own. I'll be inside on Saturday morning for CycleFit!!!!

I totally agree! This weekend is going to be brutal! My little group decided to skip Sat. morn and substitute for Monday at 10:30 @ Panera since State is off Mon. Anyone interested joining are welcome.

Fortunately, I have to work early Sat morning, so no runs for me. Darn the luck.

Hey guys, if anyone would like to see the movie "Spirit of the Marathon" that is playing Thursday, Jan 24, Linda Jones may have an extra ticket. I was going to go but have a confict that evening. It should be a great event.

Gore-Tex windsuit was the uniform of the day for this morning. Got in 6.8 miles, not my average Sat. run but considering the temp, it felt like enough. The wind wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be; but staying inside wasn't a bad choice for those that chose that this morning. I didn't even see anyone walking a dog.

Chuckmeister, some of the jokes on that 1jokeaday site are good for a few laughs.

Tim-next time the group is "off", e-mail me so we both don't have to run alone. I planned my 14 miler to go through the Boy Scout camp so I didn't feel like the only crazy one! I can run in those temps, but no way would I camp. Oh to be young again.

I'lll be sure to have a joke for you next time too.

Steve J, Tim Mu and Kim: (Carl too but he doesn't blog!) Remember the temps last year??? That 22 mile knee deep snow run and blistering freezing wind/snow blowing in our faces was NOT fun! Can't wait to experience it again this season... NOT! Steve, please be careful when running and try not to slide hip first! LOL!!!

I'll not soon forget that day. My hip stills "talks" to me from that experience. That was in February if not mistaken. Not as cold as last weekend-but oh the wind and snow!!!!

Maybe this blast will be our last, I'm ready for shorts again.

Thanks for reminding me, Em!
