A couple good reads

I've come across a couple articles in the last few days which I thought would be good reads for the Half Wits.

The first is a piece that is posted on Active.com about the ipod/headphone debate. It's a good story and this is probably my favorite line from it: "Of course their first reaction (USATF/Race Directors) is to ban the use, but as the RRCA has learned, you can’t stop these types of revolutions by decree and fiat."

The other good story was in today's Health Section of the State Journal-Register regarding excercising in the dark now that daylight has diminished. The line in this story which stood out to me was: "The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reports that more than 122,000 runners, walkers and cyclists were hit by cars last year — the majority during hours of darkness."

While this story was not written by an SJ-R reporter, the picture with the version in the paper was taken by Ted Schurter, an SJ-R photog. I'm not sure who the runner is in the picture, but please share if you know.
