Sat. Run and Fun 13 Miler

This Sat will be starting again at Panera West at 6:30am for a nice 13 miler. This route should be familiar as we start from Panera and take the trail to Stanford to Bunn Golf Course and on the way back we go through Washington Park catch Iles and back to Panera. Here is the link to make it a little easier:

Remember to drink plenty of fluids (Kim) before during and after your run.

See you Sat.

Alternate Saturday Plans: Barry is leading people from the Fairgrounds on Saturday to run the Abe's Amble 10k course! The group will leave from the Grandstand at 7:00 a.m.

I'll see you guys this Saturday! Bill and I missed last Saturday morning and instead ran our 10 on our own at 4:00 that day--way too hot!

I look forward to hearing about the 5K race from last week.

We're doing 11 miles, so we'll check out the route online and modify it.

Hi Steph, this is Pam. If you take the loop in Washington Park out and just go straight, you should take off about 2 miles. That way you can still run with us for some part of the time.

See ya Sat. :).

Would love to run with the group this weekend but I will be taking a group of girls scouts to the City musuem in St. Lou. A mom's work is never done.

So I will be fitting my run in sometime this weekend.

Hope to see all soon.

If anyone wants to run a little less, I'm using Higdon's Novice I program and it calls for 9 miles this Saturday. I'll just head straight west on Iles. See you at 6:30.

Steph, another possible route for you is to just go straight up 4th and cut out the run to Bunn. That will also cut out about 2 miles and will let you run Washington Park if you want to. I think this is what I'm going to do.

Yes Russ, I will remember to drink more water! You'd think I would know this by now. Won't be nearly as hot Sat. morn as was Tues. eve. I'll carry the 4 pack instead of 2 this time. That's what makes the group training so nice, everyone watches out for each other.

Thanks :)

I will be there - I might alter the route as well. It will be a perfect way to start the day!

To change topicsfrom training I want to put my 2 cents in about next spring. It would be so much fun, plus motivate me to run better, if all the Halfwits were together for one race. Besides I want to party with both Emily and marython R and other SRRC members! It would be better if we could agree on one race rather than splitting into 2 groups. There is a saying " the more the merrier" It is a long time until next spring so we have a lot of time to look at other options and all the other races offered in the spring. I don't want to give up on the idea of all of us going on a bus trip together. That would be so mush fun and build fellowship among the club; besides you would get to know people in the club that you don't know now. Anyway it would be good to leave all our options open for a spring race together and keep the discussion going; that's my 2 cents. jogger

Jogger that is so nice to say about Mary and me! Ooooooohhhh the trouble Mary and I get in to when we are together... I just like to say it is ALWAYS Mary's fault! LOL! Especially with this "thing" she has when having people "hold" her beer! Ha Ha Ha!

Hi,

You know how they have swimming trainers to help you with your form? Well, I think I need a running trainer. I keep forgetting which foot goes in front of the other.

Any advice would help!!!

Thanks

Marython; I am like Superman, Spider Man and Flash. I can't give my identity or I might lose some of my Super Running Ability.

Well, we know you are a man. So lets guess, Ali, is that you? Barry, we always knew you had special powers.

Steph, are you feeling Okay? Didn't see you and your husband on Sat. We miss you guys!

Pam, Pam, Pam,

You KNOW I never post anonymously. Too much fun posting under my name and catching all the flak for the things I post!

Barry House said...

Oh, and Pam? About those special powers?

You PROMISED you wouldn't tell anyone!!!

Mary L. Rogers said...

well - Barry - geez, I thought I was only marython to YOU.

Super powers come from Twinkies, btw!

Sure miss you all, but once July is over, I should be able to ditch these country roads in LIncoln for a bagel or two in Springfield!
