Tuesday Night FUN!!

Stick around the shelter after Tuesday night's run for a little celebration!

As for the run before the fun...we will go back to our negative splits workout, but this time we'll change our course a little so you are not finishing uphill.

We'll warmup from the shelter to MacArthur, take a rest, then run back towards the shelter, not the lower road which we used a couple weeks ago. Of course this may mean you might have to go up the big hill on your way back on the longest negative split run...but at least it is not at the finish.

We'll do runs of 8, 12, and 16 minutes (out 4, back 4; out 6, back 6; out 8, back 8), then cool down back to the shelter.

Sound like a plan?

Sounds like a plan. Great blog and great reports and entries. I thoroughly enjoyed reading through everything.

If you get a chance, please visit my running web site, Faithful Soles. I have a categorized and searchable Running Blog Database on there and would appreciate it if you would link your blog to it.

Dear Wits
Fred Alves a long time regular at Panera Saturday runs and marathoner asked does anyone need a room for the Chicago Marathon? He's reserving a block but you need to act fast, he's supposed to let Marriot COurtyard in Oakbrook Terrace know tomorrow. Romms are $94 per night, it's a decent place, 18 miles from town. email Fred at GABMW@insightbb.com if you are interested right away.
Thanks
Barb

Speaking of rooms...are there any females who do not have a place to stay for the Indy 1/2 marathon? Please let me know b/c I have a room with two others and would love to decrease the price a little by having at least one other lady stay with us. I guess I will check back with this blog, or you could email me at joyguardia@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Yes, I had heard that the Indy 1/2 marathon was opening again for registration, does anyone know?

The Indy 1/2 itself is not reopening for registration, but for a small fee, you may be able to register through their transfer program. Basically someone who is signed up but unable, for whatever reason, to run the race can assign their registration to a different individual.
