Saturday's route (3/3)

Here's a link to our 12 mile route for Saturday. I'll have water at Fit Club West and at the Washington Park shelter by the playground.

Any one doing the 12 on a different day? I can't make it on Sat.(Work). I am planning on going Monday. If anyone wants to join let me know. I would rather not go it alone!

Oh, great - now I have "Mary had a little lamb..."

I've recruited a new runner and we ran 7.5 in Lincoln this morning and MAN, it was cold and that WIND - when will it end? I remember the first time I visited central Illinois (22 years ago!) It was March - I said - "no way, I'm not living here - it will mess up my hair!" Little did I know...

The park I usually run at was flooded - we ran around the barricades to check out the swollen river - the road I usually see deer on had a couple canadian geese dodging what looked like glaciers! We HAD to stop and take pictures!

Meteorologist runner - send us some SUNSHINE!

Mother Nature your a bad bad girl!! My body feels like it was hit by a semi! Thanks Carl for running 13 with me this morning. I really appreciate your company. (Also Dave, Holly, & Steve.) The last 7 wasn't so pretty. I continued on the Wabash trail with the wind behind me. Felt pretty good until I got to my turn around and just couldn't run the remainder right into the wind. Thats when I switched to plan B. Added some short mileage on Chatham trail and then wound up running thru Jerome, up Chatham Rd. and into my subdivision. Finished off the grueling 20 in front of my house. Of course when I got a ride back to Panera, everyone was gone (Except for Rick.) Sorry I missed the coffee and bagels!

Good run everyone!

Great Job Kim! I only did 8.5 miles. Had to go to Madeline's gym meet in Quincy. It wasn't a good run for me at all, I don't know how you did 20.

How far are you running next week? I'm going to have to run the 12 that I missed this past weekend. If this is your drop back week, I'll run with you. You game?

I'm suppose to bump up to 21. I was thinking about running it Thurs. to get out of the way and then run low mileage Sat. with the group. What's on the schedule for Sat. morn?

Pam, I just found the LM schedule. It is 7 miles for Sat. If you want to run your first 5 earlier - I can meet you at Panera 7:30 for the last 7. What's your thoughts or were you trying to get it in before Sat.?

Pamela said...

Yes, maybe I will run at 6:45 a.m. so I can get in 5 miles and then meet the rest of the group at Panera at 7:30 a.m. I just thought if you were running long on Sat., I would just hang with you for the extra miles. That's fine, I'll just run earlier.

Trust me. It is much easier to finish when the group does. I have had to do that twice. Thanks to Stephen one weekend I had someone with me. Thanks Roger for offering to do the last 7 with me but unfortunately I lost you in the crowd and we never met up to finish. I apologize! Catch me again. Did you end up adding on??

Oakmont meet Tara Hill:-)

Is that Tim M? I didn't know you lived so close. Yes, I'm in Tara. Where are you Holly? I'm not too good early early mornings. Maybe this summer when kids are on summer break I will have to do some early morns. How early are we talking??

Ok I misread the post. I think it is Tim B. introducing Holly (Oakmont) and I ( Tara Hills) Thanks Tim for the introduction. Is Oakmont in Country Club or the subdivision off of Old Jack? Either way they are both close.

5:30 UGH!!!!! I'll unfortunately take a pass at the 5:30 showing. Weekends I have been able to crawl out of bed and make it to the 7:30. Might be able to pull off some 6:30's this summer. Are you running Sat.? I am going to try. Just did another 20mi. with Carl and Emily and my legs aren't real happy with me. I'll take it slow on Sat.
