Several of the group are interested in running the Art Run from Washington Park starting Thursday at 5:30 p.m. If you're crazy enough to be a HalfWit Gone Wild, then you're crazy enough to run in the heat!

Stay hydrated everyone - I was really struggling tonight in the heat. I weighed myself when I got home tonight and I had lost three pounds since this morning - not a good thing. Our group at Abe's ran 4.5 miles and it was sweltering out there. I didn't drink enough water during the day today and my muscles were cramping, my stomach was upset, and I was naseous and light headed. Water and gatorade - as much as you can tolerate all day long!
We all know it, but here's a link to an article about running in the heat. We all need to be reminded. And in heat like this - be sure you're running with a partner or at least make sure someone knows where you are and when to expect you back.
Saturday - don't forget! We're meeting at IDOT for the IDOT to Rochester Run (and back) on the Lost Bridge Trail (10 miles) and then going to Robin and Bob Dickerson's house for Breakfast By the Pool. Let me know if you need a map - see you all there!
I am telling Carlberg that we need about 25 shirts and he'll get the prices to me right away - this will be a great way to show Springfield that the HalfWits Gone Wild are indeed a crazy bunch of people!
June 29th is a 7 mile run, so we'll plan on meeting at the fairgrounds at 7:00 a.m. to run with the Abe's Army group, adding another loop in Lincoln Park to get the extra mile in.
See you all soon!

I've seriously neglected this blog for no reason other than I haven't made
the time to sit down and compose something. Which is kind of sad because
