"Keep It Strong" Chuck B was workin' out with Jack at Washington Park tonight, along with me and some other Half Wits (sorry, but I'm terrible at remembering names). It's a great workout, and just like Half Wits training, you pick the pace you want to work and the effort you need to put in.
A lot of the Half Wits are really focusing on the Indy Mini, and I can't tell you how impressive that is. For others, finishing the Lincoln Memorial was the completion of our half marathon training for 2006. Who am I kidding? For me, it still feels like a genuine miracle that I finished!
But the Half Wits reminded me all over again about the value of group running. If you're thinking you want to keep training in a group but you're not training for Indy, think about the Jack workouts (led by local legend Jack Bellmer). Remember, the more the merrier!
It's also a great workout if you have to miss a Tuesday or Thursday Half Wits session!
