Congrats to Half Wit Stephen Newell who ran the Big D Texas Half Marathon today in a time of 2:19:15. It looks like it was in the 80s today in Dallas. That has to be tough after the cold temps we have had. Great job Stephen!
Hills, heat, and way too much humidity. 1100 runners in the half and about 900 in the full marathon. Start and finish in the shadow of the Cotton Bowl with some of the run around White Rock Lake.
You know you're in Texas when the finish line refreshments are free Lone Star and chili.
Hated to miss Saturday. Congrats to all! I missed my running buddies: Nick, Jill, Pam, Dwayne, and Robin. It was too easy to loaf without you.
