You know...I remember a time when I used to be able to stick with this guy...
Congratulations to LM Race Director Tim McCaughey on running 3:34:49 at Sunday's Quad Cities Marathon! Tim finished 5th in his age group...but better yet he qualified for the Boston Marathon with that time (3:35:00 is the Q standard...good thing he recently turned 50!)!!
Congratulations Tim. That is a tremendous accomplishment.
Any other good stories from the QC or other races this weekend? It looks like we had a good crew up there.

I've seriously neglected this blog for no reason other than I haven't made
the time to sit down and compose something. Which is kind of sad because

Congrats Tim!! You probably don't remember me but I met you and your wife at the expo yesterday! It was great to see the Lincoln Memorial being advertised up in the Quad Cities!! Congrats again!
Hey Pam, saw your comment.. it went good!! 4:55! I'm happy with that especially considering it was hilly!!
Tim,
I am truly thrilled for you. Congratulations. What a fabulous accomplishment!
Kari, Great Job!!!!! You made it through your first marathon!! I'm so proud of you. You didn't walk any part of the marathon? Cripes, I'm really impressed.

Thanks Pam!! LOL! Who knew walking would hurt more running???!!!
I'm so excited for you and Kim running Chicago!! I'll be thinking about you two!!
See you tonight, right??
Congratulations Tim, Great Job!! Good Job too Kari! Very impressive for your first Marathon. There will be another one, right??
Pam & Kim - Are you getting excited about Chicago? I am excited and nervous, I guess that is to be expected. We need to get numbers exchange so we can hook up. Janet and I have dinner reservations at the Rose Bud, how about you?
Mary F.
Hey Mary, Once again I lost your number so call me and I will give you my cell. I am excited but have been on hold a little with my leg. I saw a Ortho on Mon. I have had soreness in the leg for a month and last week a bump and large bruise on the tibia developed. She said could be a pulled muscle hence the bleeding or could be the start of a fracture. Getting a bone scan done on Thurs. morn. to rule out fracture again. I will let you know. If it is torn muscle I am still in. If it is the latter, I will be cheering everyone on!
Kim
Good luck Kim, I will be thinking about you. I will give you a call.
Mary F.
Thank you Mary!! Yes, there will be another one! Probably Chicago next year.. especially if Tim and Wendy run it too and head up some training runs!!
GOOD LUCK to you!!!! And to everybody running Chicago!
KARI! Congratulations on Quads!!! I am so proud of you! You are the new running diva!!! :):):)
Tim, I was so excited for you and pacer Rob when I had seen the results last Sunday! Tammie and Soon-to-be Mrs Karen Flather did awesome too!
Brent and I could not believe when you texted back that you went through 3 bags of iv fluids. I was so worried for you but at the same time excited for your qualifying Boston time!!! This is a special memory you and Rob will always hold together~ What an awesome friendship!!!
I thought it was so sweet how Tammie's email to me said how excited she was to see you finish. While reading her email, I could hear her voice and see her proud eyes. Tammie, when he crossed did you have tears in your eyes? :) Your email made me think of Brent's emotions when I crossed the finish line at my 1st marathon. He was so proud of me.
Like Tammie to you, I instantly knew Brent was my greatest fan! Tammie's email made my heart melt. You two are such an awesome and loving couple. I love your relationship and love the friendship you share with Rob and Karen.
You guys are The Fab Four~ How cooool is that!
