This is a HUGE weekend for running!
One of the best races on the SRRC Points Series is this weekend: The Lake Run in Bloomington. If you are not traveling out of the area this weekend, I would highly encourage you to run this race. It is wonderfully organized, it is a great course, and the post-race is mucho fun! Plus we can thank the LRC for having so many folks at the Lincoln Memorial!
Many people will be traveling to Indianapolis for the 500 Festival Indy Mini Half Marathon. For my money, this is the most well-organized race in which I have ever participated. They do a superb job, they have the best post-race setup around and there are well over 100 local runners heading there this weekend! DON'T FORGET TO KISS THE BRICKS ON THE TRACK!
Finally...many of us are heading to Cincinnati for the Flying Pig full, half, and other events, including the RRCA convention. I'm doing the 10k on Saturday...so all you marathoners on Sunday have fun. I'll be thinkin' of ya!

To local Flying Pig Participants, before you head off to dinner let's have a toast together in Cincinati, this Saturday at 5pm at the Hyatt Regency, 151 W. 5th Street in Cincy.ph 513-579-1234. The room is under Barb Bonansinga's name.
Have a little casual pre-race fellowship and toast Tim Butler on his national Rod Steele Award to be presented Saturday night at the RRCA Convention. Pass the word, see you there!
