For those leaving on Friday, it took about 5 hours to drive down on Thursday. Not much construction at all. A few cops here and there...but Indiana speed limit is 70!
For those of you staying here...the Galt House is a good spot and very close to all the action.
See ya Friday/Saturday!

I've seriously neglected this blog for no reason other than I haven't made
the time to sit down and compose something. Which is kind of sad because

If I remember correctly, I think they are one hour ahead of us? You might want to keep that in mind in your time table.
Hey Chuck, do you have planters faciitis? Someone told me that's what you had and that's what I have. I was going to compare notes with you and see what works for you. I can't seen to beat this!

Yes, Louisville is Eastern Time Zone, so add one hour.
Hey all you travelin' Half Wits, have a great time in Louisville! Be proud to be a Half Wit and make sure to have fun!
Like there's a chance you won't. LOL!
Pamela,
Did you try The Sock?
Yes, I've tried the sock and I do all the stretches. I have it bad! I'm getting inserts made, they should be in soon. Anyone else have anything that worked?
Pamela :(.
Pamela,
I did the sock and had limited success. I just dont think I gave myself adequate time to stay off it. I went to the extreme so to speak to take care of it. I did the cortisone shot on it. Believe me, it was a painful shot, at that point, I stayed away from running for about a month but during that time, I did my cardio on the elliptical trainer machine. Ever since, I have been plantar free for over a year and half now.
Chuck, Glad to hear a success story. I've been talking to the doctor and he said he knows people that have had it for 2 years! I've taken the month of March and April off from running and it's not getting better. Did you walk? I'm walking during breaks and maybe that's irritating it. I tried the elliptical and that started hurting my Achillies, lol. I can't win, lol I'm doing gravity and weights, that's really it. Thanks for your advice and hopefully, I will recover soon.

Pamela,
See Dr. Venturini and have him do ART on it. It will break up the scar tissue. Also, cross trainer can hinder an acute injury from healing. Pool running would be great and NO impact on your foot.
Thanks Mr./Ms. Anonymous, I made an appointment with Dr. Venturini for Wednesday. My general Dr. said that he wouldn't give a referral for a chiropractor only a podiatrist. I told him that the pod. doesn't do what I need, should hear back from him on Monday. He better give me a referral or I'll have to protest his decision. I'll let you know what happens.
Stay injury free everyone!

Just wanted everyone to know that registration for the Howl at The Moon started today. They only take 250 people. For those that don't know, the howl is a 8 hour ultra run in Danville ,Ill. 0n August 9th. You can run as much as you want, stop and rest when you want, just pretty much do what you feel like in the 8 hours. It is a great way to get in marathon miles without having to worry about the time. It is a 3.29 mile loop course, about 75% off road. They allow camping and have all the beer and fried chicken you can eat and give awards about 25 deep in the differnt classes. Oh, and they also have a co-ed outdoor shower.
