Indy Mini Transfer

A friend of mine from the Peoria area is injured and looking to transfer her Indy Mini registration (Indy is Saturday, May 3).

The window is short as the deadline to transfer is Friday, so if you are interested please contact her ASAP:

Amy Bearce, 309-444-4021 (work).

Thanks!

If anyone would like to run w/ me next Thursday for about 1 hour at 6 am I would truly appreciate it. I am going to do low carbs for three days w/ an hour run the third day (Tues - Thurs). This will depleat my carbs before I carbo load for three days (Fri - Sun). That hour run is so miserable that I need someone to run with. I will probably run at about 8:30 pace. Let me know, thanks.

Just curious, why do you do this? What does that do for your run, I am still somewhat new to running and do not understand the carb thing.

when you depleat the cells of carbs they become sensitive to the carbs once you enter them back into your diet...so they say (they meaning exercise science professionals).

When I tried it last year I had enough energy to run the first 21 miles or so at my goal pace then picked up my pace to end at 7:00 for the last mile of the marathon.

It seemed to work for me so I'm trying it again. I also didn't start my race out too fast and conserved energy. It's all about how your body uses and conserves energy.
