UPDATE: Click here for a map of the official 2008 Lincoln Memorial Half Marathon course!
UPDATE # 2: Eastman Street between 2nd and 3rd is closed to traffic due to construction this week. This part of the LM course is passable, though, by using the sidewalk on the south (right) side of the street then turning north (left) on 3rd Street.
UPDATE # 3: Thanks to Tim McCaughey and Dwayne Blisset, the LM Course is now marked. Look for orange paint marks at all turns.
Thanks to Dwayne Blisset for forwarding this info...
We will meet at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum (6th Street & Jefferson) this Saturday, March 22, 7:30 a.m. for our practice run of the LM course! It promises to be fun!

These turn by turn directions reflect, correct me if wrong, the USATF link on runabe.com. They do not reflect the old course, which also has an interactive link on runabe.com.
Is that right?
Yes, this is the same course as is linked on www.RunAbe.com, except for the portion on Monument as described in this turn by turn.
Kudos to Dwayne Blisset!
Is he going to lead us on the practice run?
I think that is a great idea Barry! If only we had Miller Lites at the hydration stops...
I'm just hoping to complete the run on Saturday. I'm going to try something different this week. I'm going to try to eat good, keep hydrated (not to many Miller Lites), and get plenty of rest.
Dwayne,
It was fun to run with you Sat. My legs were a bit sore Sunday, Monday but today I feel better.
Tim,
Thanks for the Guiness stop on the last hydration stop. I guess we must have missed it on the first one...Darn! It was nice to have a little carb action reload - LOL. Dwayne and I thought it was hysterical.
I am hoping to be there this Sat. but this time I will go a lot slower. So I will be near the back.
Man, I missed the Guiness! Andrew (my husband) is pretty impressed that ya'll can take a shot of Guiness and continue to run!
I am glad to say that I am back into regular workouts and long runs after a few weeks of sickness and injury. I wish I was back last Saturday though. Anyway, the negative splits today were awesome and kicked my butt as usual. Those are what really get us in shape, good call Tim.
Joy
Tim,
Where are the hydration stops going to be tomorrow?
Thanks
Hydration in Washington Park near Park Street entrance/exit (approx mile 4), Perry Broughton Construction on Lincoln Avenue (approx Mile 8), in Lincoln Park near the 4th Street entrance/exit (approx mile 11.5).
