New blog look!

Since we are getting ready to kick off our inaugural "Fall for the Half Wits" training program (Saturday, August 4 is first training run) I decided it was a good time to update the look of the blog. This is the first time since we started this blog a couple years ago that I have significantly changed the look.

I'm still kind of playing around with it, and there are a few of the blog format editing features which are kind of frustrating, but change is good!

Please share your thoughts!

I like the new look very much! Best part is the picture in the banner. Seeing all those runners having a good time despite an obviously cold day is great inspiration.

Love the s.r.l.weit~
Could you possibly increase the font size slightly. I have to strain to read the blog postings. Lord forbid, I use my glasses :)

Anon...Yep.

I was trying to balance good looks vs. what is readable. Font size bigger...check!

Tim, can you shade some fat off my body and make my fuelbelt lower? I cracked up so bad looking at this picture because I'm wearing my fuelbelt like a nerd. It is way too high! lol. My nickname is going to go from Tombstone to Eurkle (sp) or however you spell it.

The website looks great! I'm loving it! Great Job, Tim.

The new look sucks. I liked the old look. Why does everything always have to change? I still miss DOS 3.1.

LOL!

Looks good, Tim. Could ya warn us next time you change things? I thought Internet Explorer was going haywire!

You need to take a summer picture to use during the winter.

Great work, Tim! Like you said, this is a great way to communicate and be part of the group. With the hot and humid weather we're having, I'm ready to go back to that winter training!

Stay safe out there, everyone!

Hey everyone, I know this is a little late but Kim and I are running at 6:00 a.m. from Panera tomorrow morning. We are running 16 miles so if anyone would like to take a day off of work to run an enjoyable 16 miles, how about it. You don't have to go into work, there isn't a budget for you state workers so play hookie for a day, lol.

There is also a group of us running at 5:30 AM to get in 5-6 miles before meeting the 6:30 AM group at Lincoln Park shelter that will be running 9.6, if anyone else wants to join. We are going to try and get 14-15 in. :)

Thanks Tim for the route this morning and for checking on those of us lagging behind. Trisha and I were doing 17-18 this morning so we were taking it easy and took advantage of the bathrooms and water fountain at Schnucks and Menards! We ended up doing the whole Abe's course on top of it plus a little extra! Great morning for a run - nice to see y'all there!

PS - Trisha you rock - you did almost 18.5 miles - you are ready for St. Charles!

Tim and Wendy;

Kudos on the route yesterday. It was great. I don't get to run through my old neighborhoods much. I love the north end. It was great to have such a big group out there. Thanks to Emily, Marie, and Penny for coming back to pick me up at 5:45 so that I wouldn't have to run in the park alone. You girls are the best!! Em; Hope the knee is feeling better.

Awwwwww Deb! Anything for our sista! :)

Wish I could have done the whole route with y'alls. I was a little envious that I did not get to run with the big group; :) I heard that the route was great and that the change was good!

Knee is throbbin' but being the stubborn runner that we all are, i'll keep truckin' along! :)
