In case you missed it - Half Wits in Training

Our very own Half Wit participant Jessica English of WICS News Channel 20 was gracious enough to do a newscast piece of the Half Wits program and help promote the Lincoln Memorial 1/2 Marathon. I was able to upload the video to a video archiving site called YOUTUBE. It is rather a large video, so if you don't have broadband internet access, you might not be able to view it properly. Thanks again Jessica!

Thanks for posting the video, Chuck. So many (myself included) missed the chance to view it last night. This is great PR for the club!

Now I remember why I wear all black. Thank god it wasn't warm enough for skin to be showing!

The news coverage is great. If your friends and family question you - you have proof now that what you're doing is newsworthy and interesting. And this is great for the club. We're an important part of our community.

Thanks Jessica!

Typical news coverage, they only show the pretty people.

Every single person that was shown,(for a brief nano-second) were all pretty!!! Even YOU!

Thanks Jessica!

Thanks again for publishing the schedule down on the previous post. It's helpful.

I don't think I have ever been accused of being "pretty"! LOL.

If you ran today it was one for the history books, mile one with freezing headwinds that could knock you off your feet if you weren't careful. This is a tough crowd! Look forward to seeing you in training this week and next Saturday where legend Bill Rodgers (yes I know its before may of you were born)runs with the legendary Half Wits! It's got to be warmer.

Emily, did you make it? I tried to wait for you guys to see you in but I had to get home. I couldn't go any futher than I did. You are a strong woman to run 15 miles today. It was very, very, cold and windy. Good Job!

THANK YOU PAM!!! Yes!!! I made it!!! I felt really good! The frost bite run on Wed. really helped me, today. My pace was actually faster. How far did you and Jen end up running? :)

I honestly could not have done it with out Carl, Steve Jones (my anonymous friend) :), and Tim Mullady. They paced me the entire time and got me through with smiles. Thanks so much guys! You made me feel like Lance Armstrong running with his 3 pacers during his NY marathon. You are all so awesome!!!!

Runners - they're everywhere!!

Having lunch at a sushi restaurant in Chicago yesterday and started talking to the owner. Turns out he ran Chicago last year. In fact all the sushi chefs behind the counter all ran and were running it again next year. This little 50 something chinese man ran his first and ran a 3:30! It must be all the omega-3 consumption.

What do you think Russ. Mexican last year, sushi this year? Keeping it international babe. I know you'd probably rather have a thick juicy steak and a stiff martini.
