It was like running six miles in the sand. No traction and loose footing most of the way. I bet it was equal in effort to running much further in GOOD conditions. Anyone else have those dreams where you are trying to run from danger, but you don't seem to get anywhere? Like swimming in mud?
Tell me the trio running with Bill Owens didn't turn around and run it again!? I don't know how you do it! Moxy, baby!
Hugs to all who brought hot coffee and treats! You guys are the best!
WOW!!! HILLS! HILLS! HILLS! Does anyone know how many there are in and back? Ugh!!!! :)
Halfwits are so awesome and so brave! After yesterdays challenging run, you CAN set your "sights" high. Whomever says you can't, your not strong enough, you've never done it before~ so why start now, you tell them, "JUST WATCH!!!"
You are getting closer to race day by allowing your dreams to become real. After the LM race, you will have many more dreams that WILL become possible. Don't let anyone tell you different as you CAN set yourself to high expectations and look beyond where you've never been before. Don't forget that your dreams are your greatest gifts!!! :)
I ran 11 miles in Chatham all by my lonesome on Saturday and the traction was no good there either. I didn't have to contend with the hills but I was wishing that I had joined everyone just for the company. Good job everyone!
Sorry I missed this one, it looks like another classic Half Wits adventure. I was down in Tampa this weekend. Temps were down in the 50s. Absolutely perfect running weather. Of course, the runners down there were in tights, hats, gloves, parkas, etc.

Anne, did ya show 'em how Midwesterners dress for running in the 50s?
Shorts and singlets, shoes optional!
Barry, that is exactly what I did. Perfect running weather.
