Hey all...sorry I have not been posting much this week, but work has kind of had me swamped the last several days. I am not sure I will be there Thursday night, and I am positive I will NOT be running with you Saturday morning, but maybe I will be out there to get you off and running (I have to be in Peoria by 10:00 a.m.).
Here's the plan for Thursday that I e-mailed earlier this week: two loops around Washington Park...one loop is approx. 2.5 miles if you include the boulevard and approx. 2 miles if you don't run the boulevard. So, you can incorporate it as you see fit. If you want to run 5, do two loops including the blvd. If you want to do 4, then don't run the blvd. 4.5 would be one with blvd and one without. Or you can also cut up one of the streets in the middle of the park if you want a shorter loop.
For Saturday, the plan has us running 7 miles. It's going to be VERY COLD, and Weather.com shows a stiff wind out of the west that morning. We'll try to run into the wind on the way out and with it on the way back, so let's plan to run to Fit Club via the "long" route. The forecast for temps and wind will put us in the Arctic Amble range from last year, so I would highly recommend purchasing a face mask. It makes a huge difference in this type of weather!
