Visualize this: You’re the pitcher. Smell the dirt kicked up from the mound; wipe the sweat as it drips down your face. The muscles in your arms and legs ache, but think of how many games you’ve won this season. Each game this summer brought with it new experiences, but carried the same old confidence. Today, you’ve pitched eight perfect innings, striking out three batters in each one, right in a row. There’s never been a game that’s gone this right before. But in the final inning of the shut-out, the bases are loaded and the batter sends a freak pop fly to the infield. You run hard with every muscle in your body knowing the game will be decided right here and right now. You watch in amazement as the ball just drops into your outstretched glove. The crowd goes wild.
Goosebumps – nothing less.

“… is there enough magic out there in the moonlight to make this dream come true?”
(Dr. Archibald “Moonlight” Graham to Ray Kinsella in the 1989 film Field of Dreams)
“There will be days when I don't know if I can run a Marathon. There will be a lifetime knowing that I have."
Good luck, fellow Half Wits Gone Wild, and as always, I’ll see you on the roads, but this time, in CHICAGO, of course! The power of the group…simply amazing.
