Wild Runners Swelter in the Heat!

Thanks, Jenni, for taking these pics !

Robin, Lakshman, Ron, and two people I can't remember names for (sorry - please tell me and I'll fix this post!) before the nine mile route.

Pam said her frozen water bottles felt like an extra 30 pounds! Does anyone know if ice weighs more than water?

Finished - finally! Pam out in front as ususal and Dave and Robin wondering how in the heck did they get lost!!!!

Looks like quite an adventure, HalfWits - just sorry I couldn't be there. I guess if I give up a few cheeseburgers or cut down to one bottle of wine a week (so not going to happen), I could probably scrape up the gas money. I could sell some pictures of guys in coconuts and togas on Ebay, though. Some things are just more important......See you soon!

Guy in red, Nick Palazollo. Gal in blue introduced herself, and sorry, can't remember her name!! I know she is a good, steady runner, cuz I ate her dust most of the way!! Good run, guys and gals!

Glad the $3.99 gas was a rumor. We thought we were going to have to ship cheap Springfield gas to Lincoln to get you here.

Hold the phone. This just in....ice weighs LESS than its equal amount in liquid form but occupies more space...remember expansion? According to my brilliant husband, water is one of the few (only?) elements that weighs less in it's solid or denser states. That's why ice floats in your glass, it weighs less than its surrounding mass??? (that's why some of us float in the lake and some (me) sink to the bottom.) And that's why I occupy more space in a denser form. i.e., after 4th of July holiday pig-outs. I know, you science geeks are laughing your heads off.

Thanks guys, you could have gone with it, you know, lol. Make me feel bad, at least I didn't write into Runners World.
