Here's some information for those who did not get the email from me.
HalfWits Breakfast By the Pool
Robin and Robert Dickerson have invited all those who run with HalfWits Gone Wild to their home for breakfast and a dip in their pool on Saturday morning, July 22nd after our long 10 mile run. That morning, we'll meet at 7:00 a.m. to run from IDOT to Rochester and back via the Lost Bridge Trail. So mark your calendar and RSVP to me (rogers_01@verizon.net) or Robin (robinbird27@hotmail.com). When you RSVP - we'll send you a map. Since that's also the SRRC Saturday Social Picnic - you'll have breakfast AND dinner covered that day - how's that for a great day!!!!
Breakfast casseroles, coffee, bagels, and OJ will be provided for you........
Don't forget - this Thursday - join us for Washington Park to YMCA 4.25 mile run (5:30 p.m.) and this Saturday (6:30 a.m.) 9 mile on the nose run from Panera West. See you there! Scroll down for the routes in a previous post.
Oh, by the way - Chicago Marathon serves Gatorade Endurance formula. I've heard it's a good idea to practice with the same type of fluids that are available at the race to prevent stomach shock. Try diluting it if it upsets your stomach, but it's important to replace those electrolytes you sweat out in this heat. And from what I've been told - it's supposed to by 10000 degrees this weekend!
Happy Running!
Mary

Thanks for the post about the Gatorade. Further investigation reveals that it is the lemon lime formula, if that makes a difference to anyone.
