Week 1 of 18

I've just sent an email to everyone on the HalfWits Gone Wild Marathon Training Group. If you do not receive this email, let me know (rogers_01@verizon.net). I will not be at the fairgrounds on Saturday as I plan to run the Bob Goldman Memorial Scholastic Challenge 5K (running the route twice to get in the scheduled 6 miles). However, there will be a group ready to run the Abe's Amble course beginning at 7:00 a.m.

Stay cool, stay focused on your goals, and remember to enjoy the experiences along the way. Oh, and you might want to watch out for that camera.........

That is so cool, Mary. I can believe it too (I am 44). Tee shirts...we need tee shirts!

Hey - anyone up to designing a shirt for us all?

And marathon training sure beats other things we could be doing in our mid-life crisis years!!!!!

Great running with the Scholastic 5K and extra loop, guys - the second time around was so much easier than the first because we were all together.

The power of the group.........

Who has time for a little red sports car when you're having to roll out of bed at 5:00 a.m. to get in the miles?

great job on the 5k, we had beautiful weather. I opted to run the Abe's Amble course and added a loop around the park. Such a pretty neighborhood, and it was so nice of the Butlers to have the water at the cemetery.

Even for those of us NOT yet training for their first marathon, running the 5k and the extra loop with Mary R was QUITE the experience.

I loved how Barry was waiting and watching everyone come in at the end yelling, "KEEP IT STRONG!"
