Next Saturday Social right around the corner...

I posted this a few weeks ago, but wanted to put it up again as a reminder. This should be a fun event and we are also talking about hooking up somewhere following the tour to grab some food and drinks...

Mark your calendars now for a special event for the May Saturday Social. We'll have a guided wildflower walk at Lincoln Memorial Garden starting at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 20.

One of LMGs naturalists will show us the beauty of the Garden as the season's flowers begin to come into full bloom. The Garden would like to have a headcount before the Social, so please RSVP to Half Wit Barb Bonansinga (bbonansinga@sbcglobal.net) by May 14 LMG also asks for a donation of $2.00 per person.

I would suggest that maybe we can donate additional dollars in honor of Gary Thompson who was an SRRC member who passed away last March. Gary was a great guy and a member and volunteer for LMG. Following his death last year, his family asked that memorial donations be made to the Gardens. Maybe we can all pitch in extra money and we can make a little presentation in honor of Gary and on behalf of the SRRC to our LMG guide following our tour? Whatcha think?
