This week's routes

For those Half Wits not running Indy, please still come out and join us. We miss ya and we can always use your camaraderie!

For Tuesday, we'll run 1/2 mile repeats on Williams Blvd. We will do a warm-up run to the boulevard then run at a good pace a full lap around the boulevard (down and back without stopping, unlike the 1/4s we have done before where we stop at each end). We'll take a rest after each 1/2 mile. Let's shoot for five of these 1/2s (you guys are in shape to do this!).

For Thursday we'll run the "Art Run" course, which is 5k, plus do a loop around the park for a total of five miles.
Click here for a map of the Thursday route.

Saturday we are back at Panera (I know, it is Spring Break and Easter Weekend, but get away from the family and kids and come join us for a run). We will be running the same 12 mile route we ran last month. Click here for a map of the Saturday route.

If you don't want to run 12 on Saturday, feel free to join us for the 7-mile (Fit Club West & back) or 9-mile (Fit Club West with the loop to Oxford) routes we have run before.

Pam - we ran 14 (okay, really 13.8 and there was some serious walkin' going on!) miles yesterday. It was NOT like halfwits - 85 degrees, little shade, not much water and no bagels. I think I need a freakin' blizzard in order to run well! But hey, it's done and I'm not even sore (that's 'cause I'm still delirious from the heat!) Makes me sure appreciate how Tim plans for our water stops!

Sleeping in tomorrow guys - so we'll see you next week!

Uh, Pam, you're not feeding that dog Easter eggs, are you?????

Pam:
Better the dog having to poop than you! But that bag of terds must've been alot to carry!

If you ladies are running Indy be thankful for this heat. I think that's what my problem was last year. It was warm on race day and I hadn't had time to adjust to those conditions. It is tough to get used too. Can't wait til summer!

I REALLY envy the way you Half Wits have bounced back from the half marathon. Me, I started getting pain in one foot during last Saturday's 7 miler and avoided running for a week. Ran 4 this morning on my own and everything is feeling better, but I don't think I could be preparing for another half marathon any time soon.

You guys KEEP IT STRONG!

Oh, Barry, if you only knew the b*tch*n' going on during that run.......I love summer, but running like that is absolutely nuts! Hot Hot Hot!

You want nuts? Be sure to sign up for Abe's Army. Last year we were running in 90-degree heat with 90-percent humidity and, obviously, we survived.

I'm already looking forward to that!

Believe me, I was there cussing out those hills and whoever had told me "don't worry - it will be so much cooler in the morning!" HA! It's Illinois and since I didn't grow up here, I've been told to expect anything and everything weather wise! Today would have been an awesome day to run, but I ate way too much ham and sweet potatoes and enjoy a great bottle of wine in honor of John Bingham. It was called "The Little Penguin." I couldn't pass it up.... Gotta love Krogers!

See y'all at the park - Saturday's going to be tough - think we'll recover by Indy???
