It was downright balmy yesterday, almost making one long for the days of snow and wind. Not!
It takes some time to get re-adjusted to summer running, so make sure to take it easy during the first runs when it is hot and humid. And don't forget to drink liquid when you are out there running. Water and sports drink really do the trick.
And please watch out for cars. I know we had a nasty driver yesterday morning when we started (I think these people sometimes forget that we all pay gas tax as well...and it would be nice if there were sidewalks or more trails to run on!) but remember, if it is car v. runner, the car always wins.
We are back at the Park on Tuesday and Thursday and then we have our LAST long training run next Saturday!!!! Can you believe that? I know you will probably be cussing me next Saturday as we run 14, but you will be thanking me at Indy! I will post the workouts and routes later.
