Big props to Kris Maurer for bringing the cookies the past few Saturdays after our long runs. Those cookies are awesome...especially those peanut butter cookies she had last Saturday.
Thanks, Kris, for bringing out the treats.
For those of you who would like to try this at home, here's the recipe for the peanut butter cookies from Kris....and no, this is not your low-fat, no flava version. This is full, post-run replenishment!
Peanut Butter Cookies:
1 Egg
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Cup of Sugar
Mix egg and sugar add peanut butter. Let sit about 5 minutes before baking. Roll in balls and flatten them with a fork. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool a couple of minutes on the pan before removing.

I've seriously neglected this blog for no reason other than I haven't made
the time to sit down and compose something. Which is kind of sad because

Wha-Wha-Wha-Whaaat!!!!!
How did I miss those cookies? I didnt get any? My Gu gel doesnt cut it.
Thanks for the recipe, but I can't even make toast or boil water. Someone has to help me here.
I'll trade a bottle of Miller Lite for a cookie.
Hey Chuck,
I am running the St. Patrick's Day race on Saturday, so I will not be at Panera. I will bring you your very own batch of cookies the next Saturday. A reward for running the course.
If you have a favorite kind of cookie, let me know and I will make those.
You can keep the Miller Lite!!! I have never acquired a taste for it. You guys are the best!
Kris, (You are the best!!!)
I'll be there too (St. Patricks Day race), but I'll probably be hurting from being up all night with my old college buddies. This is like a ritual for us the last 7 years. There is usually about 30 of us running it.
Our plan?
- Friday evening...meet and greet and drink till you are silly (won't take much for me)
- Sat. Morning...the dreaded 5 miles with a hangover (what were we thinking running this race?)
- Sat. Post Race...meet at Maggies (by Union Station) and celebrate St. Pattys all day (carbing up) - Any Half-Wits, come and stop by.
- Sat. night...recover from the afternoon and go out(Ugh!!!! again???)
- Sunday...I'm hating life all day and tell myself I'm not in college anymore and neither are my college buddies.
So, next Saturday...I would love to try your tasty cookies. I reeeeeaaaalllllyyyy appreciate the offer. I won't turn it down. (I know my fellow Half-Wits, I'm pathetic)
My personal favorite is those chocolate chip cookies with M&M's, but hey I'll take anything. It's no fun eating burnt toast everyday.
I'm sooooooooo excited!!!!
Kris,
Your peanut butter cookies were wonderful...yum, the best I've ever had! What a great way to end our longest run ever! Thanks for the cookies and the recipe!
