Panera Picture

I found this picture of our training headquarters on the WTAX website. Ouch!

My best friend is the manager of Cohens and he said most of his windows are shattered, his front office is a swimming pool, one of the heating/cooling units from his roof is in his parking lot and the sign from the Dollar Store across the street is also in his parking lot. He also said that just about every tile from his ceiling is on the floor along with glass from the windows. He said the Road Ranger next door, which was on the front page of the City/State section is in shambles. Every pump is tipped over and apparently some debris flew through the window where the cashier stands. Luckily the cashier had gone to the door to tell the customers to come inside and avoided injury.

Yikes! Thank goodness Tim doesn't make us run under a tornado watch. We'd probably try it.

Hope everyone is safe and didn't have too much damage.

Let's hope we're done with this extreme weather.

I work at Systemax Corp. - we're on Archer Elevator Road. They called us at 2AM to let us know not to come in today. I drove by and the power lines had literally been ripped out of the ground. I saw one that had fallen through someone's roof. Our building looked to be o.k. but the one right across the street had roof damage. I hope I get to go back to work tomorrow!! Hope everyone else is safe and sound!

Glad to hear everyone is safe. My house has your normal debris after a bad storm...or maybe a party.

Where I work is a different story. I work by Coz's pizza on the west side and debris was everywhere. Just like Sanya stated, power poles broken in half, dangling barely by the wires. Some found their ways atop the roofs of houses. If you ever venture that way and noticed all of those empty white cargo storage buildings, well, I think the business around there must have won a grand prize. Each of them received at least 10 complimentary units for free...just not in the best of shape. I dont think the owners is going to want these back. At my office location, I also dreamed of having cool skybox lights in the conference room and my data room. This morning, I got my wish...Its just not what I had in mind. We can see the sky and roof trusses from those rooms. Anyway, since I'm in IT, I had to offload all of our computers to a remote location. Some of them are in my bedroom now. I got this cool setup for an ultimate LAN party...anybody want to play some computer games?

BTW, is just me? The pic with the Panera buliding...doesnt it look like it has a silohette figure on the left, it reminds me of a witch.

Some of us got through the storm really lucky. I live on the west side of Chatham and suffered no damage that I can see. Also no problems at work, although it took over an hour to get here this morning. And I've been too tired from no sleep (our siren was on for quite a while through the night) to be very productive.

Hope everyone else is safe!

Sorry Steph, but I gotta enjoy this run while it is going on! The 48 will probably be a dog by mid-summer, but man he is running great now!

Yikes - I'm off again tomorrow! Looks like Archer Elevator is still without power. I may not make the group - I won't be able to stand not running all day!

Have a great run!

Hi Half Wits -
We just got our power back on at 5:00 Tuesday. I spent an hour cleaning out my refrigerator, talk about a stinky mess!!!! I guess a lot of people still don't have their power. Feels like I got about three hours of sleep total since Sunday. My daughter and I spent Sunday night in my parents' basement listening to the storm raging outside (Bradfordton Road area). It sounded like someone was trying to break down the walls with a sledge hammer. The house was creaking and popping. Amazingly, there was no damage, just a lot of limbs blown down. A terrifying night...
