Easy runs this week

Take it easy this week as we lead up to the LM this weekend. I would not suggest running any mid-week 12 milers or anything of the sort. Also, now is not the week to start that weight-lifting routine you have been thinking about!

For Tuesday, I thought we could run the route to the SHG track and back. So, down the big hill and around the ponds to the Feldkamp exit out of the park. Take Feldkamp north to SHG and run a lap around the track. Back to the park the same way, but turn left by the pond and take the Washington Park loop around to MacArthur and back to the shelter.

For Thursday, well, I am still thinking about that one. I might try to come up with a different route for our last Half Wits run before the big race.

Both of these runs should be at a a solid, but easy pace. Don't act like you are trying to get your 5k PR.

And we will probably go around for our little quiz this week, so think back and remember something interesting about another Half Wit.

So, you're saying it was a bad idea for me to run the LM course this morning? LOL!

you did not! Oh, Barry - you are such an inspiration to me! I'm hoping to chase you down on Saturday! I may not have been there the last couple of sessions, but don't think I haven't been secretly training on the side!

Seriously, I remember our first jaunt through the park (I heard your shoes creeping up on me) and we talked about how hard this was and didn't we feel so much better? You had other "words" to say about this crazy thing called HalfWits training! Look how far we've all come. It's been awesome to run with such a diverse group of people and I'm looking forward to a fun Saturday (okay, maybe miles 9-12 won't be so fun but I'll figure out someway to distract myself.

Forward motion, guys - we're almost there! Can't be there tonight, but I'll see y'all Thursday.
